I won’t post every time we win a game (and will surely forget to do it when we lose 555), but yesterday was the first victory of the season for HH Football Academy. Our U10 team played their third match in the Junior League organized by True Arena Sports Club, and after a draw and a loss, our team won 2-0 against the strong squad of Hua Hin Nursery.
I want to congratulate Coach Gee, in charge of the tactic and who took care of the kids on the pitch but of course all the players: Nine, Bas, Mangon, Riew, Korn, Lownow, Luka, Zukus, Copter, Ryan, Nine, Captain, Non, Pentor and Jackson.
For some of them it’s the first victory in a competition in their life, a day they will always remember since sports emotions are often unforgettable. I clearly remember a lot of details and feelings about football matches I played when I was 8mothers when I was 11… Oops! it is more than 30 years ago.
As explained before, we have decided to select young players – some are only 7 and 8 years old, and play this competition against squads with players older than 2 to 3 years. Learning and getting experience of competition is more important than the result of the match.
If the future, players will remember their emotions, but won’t remember the score. Experience of competition is also another way to learn to grow and be ready for the different steps we meet in life.
We are an academy, not a club, we focus on learning and growing, but when there is a victory and a great performance, it has to be celebrated.
